The Queen came by again this year. I was in the US most of the week, but Shirleen got out and saw her go by all five days I think. The day I was there she waved at us!!!!! I write lots of interesting stuff in the blog, but the thing everyone comments about is the funny hats on Ladies Day at the Royal Ascot. Here they are...

There is a huge scandal in the UK government this year about the members of Parliament falsifying expenses. Several members have resigned and there is talk of the Prime Minister resigning. The hat on the left is commentary on the issue.
In the center, Princess Beatrice. On the right, the Princess Royal, Anne.
Anne is the Queen's second child after Charles and oldest daughter. Beatrice was there with her sister Eugenie, the Queen's granddaughters by her third child Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.
