We chaperoned the Boy Scout troop's trip to Disney Paris. (hey, if you've got to go with the Scouts, it sure beat sleeping outdoors!) We took the Eurostar train and got there in roughly 4 hours. We had one train change in Lille after the channel crossing.
One nice thing to count on is that Disney is Disney, despite being in Paris. Disney parks are always clean, organized, and very well done. The shows were half French / half English (both songs and speech) as were the instructions for the rides (both spoken and signs). But other than that, it was very much like Orlando. All of the employees spoke enough English so that language was never a problem. The most significant difference was the size. This park is comparatively small, most likely due to the property prices in the suburbs of Paris . There are only two sections, Disney Studios and the Magic Kingdom and they are right beside each other. You walk out of one and right into the other.
But they have Space Mountain (version 2 - they launch you from a cannon!), the Tower of Terror, Aerosmith's Rock & Roll Roller Coaster, It's a Small World, Buzz Lightyear, Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, the Swiss Family Robinson tree house, shows, shops, music, and the parades, and everything else that makes Disney Land and Disney World so magical. I can't think of anything that was missing. As you can see that the top of this post, a cool difference is the castle. It is definitely different and I think I might like this one even better.
I have often heard the joke that they had to stop having fireworks displays at Disney Paris because every time they did, the French Army surrendered. Well guess what? The did not have the end of day fireworks display like they do in Florida. Hmmm.

We stayed in the park, the first time we've done that. Very nice, you get up and eat the free breakfast at the hotel, then walk to the park. It was the Cheyenne Hotel, a western theme as you might have guessed. We stayed in the Annie Oakley building which was kind of cool since we recently watched the movie 'Annie Get Your Gun'
Walking home from the park at night we passed an outdoor ice skating rink at one of the Disney hotels. Did I mention it was COLD?!!!
